Big recruiting news is coming from Georgia this week. The Bulldogs have landed 5-star #1 LB Zayden Walker for the 2025 recruiting cycle. Walker was highly recruited, as he is ranked as the No. 1 inside linebacker in the country, out of Ellaville, GA. Georgia has produced linebackers such as Quay Walker, Roquan Smith, and Nakobe Dean under UGA's inside linebacker coach Glenn Schumann. So, Walker will be in good hands during his time at Georgia.
UGA has landed 10 commitments for the 2025 recruiting class, including 5-star TE Elyiss Williams, who is the No. 1 TE for the '25 class.
Georgia's QB Carson Beck finds himself in a different position than he was last year. He was competing for the starting job in the spring. Now, he is one of the top QBs in the nation and one of the Heisman favorites. His position on the team has shifted to being the outright leader, and he is aware he needs to be vocal—something that he says doesn't come naturally to him. As Carson goes, the team will follow.
Beck is taking action; a recent video shows Beck training with Dominic Lovett, Colbie Young, Dillon Bell, and Oscar Delp in Jacksonville, FL. This cast is likely going to be Beck's top pass catchers this season.
An honorable mention the Georgia Baseball team is playing the NCAA baseball super regionals for the first time since 2008. They will be hosting NC State. The series kicks off this Saturday at noon.
